Activating the Gift Within You

Image
There are times when we sense that God has placed something within us, yet we hesitate to bring it forward. It might be a talent, a dream, or even a calling that feels too big for us to carry. Life has a way of distracting us, fear has a way of silencing us, and comparison has a way of convincing us that our gift is too small to matter. When Paul encouraged Timothy, he reminded him to “stir up the gift of God which is in you” (2 Timothy 1:6). Timothy didn’t need to go searching for it. The gift was already there. The same is true for us. What God has placed within you is already present, waiting for the moment you decide to activate it. Activating your gift does not happen in one big leap. Often it looks like small steps of faith, sharing your ideas, starting that project, using your voice when you might have stayed silent before. Those small steps matter because every time you activate your gift, you give others permission to do the same and in the process, you grow stronger, more ...

The Leader’s Gift of a Fresh Start

Image
Every leader will encounter a season when what once worked no longer fits. Strategies that once fueled growth may feel stale. Teams, roles, or even entire visions can shift in ways that no longer align with the future. In those moments, it is easy to see change as loss, but the truth is this: fresh starts are one of the greatest gifts a leader can receive. Starting over is rarely comfortable. It pushes against pride and challenges identity. Leaders often ask, “Why begin again when I’ve invested so much? Will others see this as failure? The Truth About New Beginnings Isaiah 43:19 declares, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Notice that God does not ask if we are ready—He asks if we can perceive it. Fresh starts often arrive before we feel prepared....

These Layoffs Are Going to Cause a Divine Shift

Recently, as I was reading the Bible, something struck me: I didn’t see any system that resembled the modern 9-to-5 grind. Most of the great men and women of God were not employees, they were owners , builders , and entrepreneurs . They managed resources, led people, created goods, and stewarded the assignments God gave them. Abraham managed large herds and servants. Lydia was a seller of purple goods. Paul was a tentmaker. Proverbs 31 describes a woman who bought land, planted vineyards, and made profitable merchandise. These were people who built  and multiplied what God put in their hands. So why is this important right now?  We are in a season where layoffs are happening at an alarming rate. Entire departments are being eliminated. Companies are restructuring and many talented, capable people are finding themselves sending out thousands of applications… and hearing nothing back. If that’s you, I want to encourage you: maybe it’s not rejection. Maybe it’s divine redire...
