The Gift of Life

Image
The Gift of Life By Dr. Christina Asare This morning, as I opened my eyes, I was overwhelmed by a deep sense of gratitude. Not because every situation in my life is perfect, but because God, in His infinite mercy, chose to wake me and my family up again today . That alone is enough to give Him praise. We often underestimate the miracle of waking up. The rising sun, the breath in our lungs, and the beating of our hearts are evidence of God's hand still at work in our lives. Life is not promised, it is a gift , and today I choose to honor the Giver. “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV) How often do we let the worries of this world cause us to forget the miracle of simply being alive? The enemy would love for us to focus only on what’s wrong, but every new day is a reminder that God is not finished with us yet. “This is the day which the ...

The Peace of God: Resting in His Goodness

The Peace of God: Resting in His Goodness By Dr. Christina Asare It’s a quiet Thursday. I’m sitting in my living room, looking out the window, and all I can feel is peace. Not the kind the world gives—but the kind that only comes from God. It’s deep. It’s still. It’s holy. This morning, I didn’t wake up with a heavy heart or a long list of burdens. I woke up with joy. With rest in my bones. With clarity in my spirit and as I sit here, I realize that I’m experiencing something sacred— the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). It’s not always like this. Life brings storms, demands, noise, but today, there is peace and I don’t take it for granted. Every breath feels like a blessing. Every ray of sunlight shining through the window feels like God smiling on me. There’s no striving. Just resting. I’ve come to understand that peace is not the absence of problems—it’s the presence of God. It’s choosing to anchor your soul in Him, even when the world around you is ...

My Hair, My Glory: Embracing God’s Creative Design

💫 My Hair, My Glory: Embracing God’s Creative Design “But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given to her for a covering.” — 1 Corinthians 11:15 (KJV) Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how deeply personal my hair journey has become. For the past several months, I’ve been caring for my own hair—no salon visits, no shortcuts, just me and the process. And to be honest, it has never felt or looked better. My hair has been growing long, healthy, and strong. But more than the physical change, it has sparked something spiritual in me. My hair feels like my crown. It feels like something sacred. Something intentionally crafted by God. And I just can’t see myself cutting it—not because I’m afraid of change, but because it represents so much more than strands on my head. When I read 1 Corinthians 11:15 , it clicked in a new way: “Her hair is given to her for a covering.” That word— glory —moved me. It’s not just about appearance. It’s about identity. Ho...

The Journey of Growth: Learning, Trusting, and Moving Forward

Image
The Journey of Growth: Learning, Trusting, and Moving Forward If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that growth doesn’t always feel glamorous . Sometimes, it feels like showing up when you’d rather give up. Other times, it feels like pushing through overwhelm because you know what God placed in you is bigger than what you feel. Lately, I’ve been deepening my understanding of HIPAA Awareness, Privacy Laws, Zero Trust Cybersecurity, and Digital Protection Strategies . But let me tell you—this journey hasn’t just been about knowledge ; it’s been about obedience . With every course, every late-night study session, and every new skill I’m gaining, I realize more and more that God is ordering my steps . He’s preparing me for rooms I haven’t yet entered and opportunities I haven’t yet seen. Yet in the process, I’ve also learned the importance of boundaries . I can’t be everything to everyone. I can’t carry burdens God never asked me to carry. I must protect my time, my marriage, my ...

Let Go and Let God — You Weren’t Meant to Carry It All

Image
Let Go and Let God — You Weren’t Meant to Carry It All Yesterday my mom and I went walking, and in the middle of our conversation, she paused, looked right at me, and said, “You look so much better.” I smiled and told her, “It’s because I made the decision to stop carrying everybody else’s problems.” She nodded and reminded me, “And you’re right, because the Bible says, ‘Cast your cares upon the Lord,’ not upon yourself or everyone else.” That stuck with me. So many of us have good hearts. We care deeply. We want to help. We want to see people free, healed, and whole. But here’s the truth— You can intercede , you can pray , you can love —but you cannot carry what only God was meant to carry. I used to feel drained, heavy, and weighed down. Why? Because I was trying to fix what I was only called to pray over . I was owning what God never asked me to carry . There is a difference between praying with someone and trying to live their life for them . There’s a difference ...
