Made in His Image, Not Made Without Limits
There are seasons when you realize that some people forget you are a human being with limitations, boundaries, and moments where your strength reaches its edge. They become so accustomed to seeing you handle pressure with grace and move through challenges with perseverance that they begin to believe you are incapable of feeling overwhelmed or needing rest. They see your ability to endure, and they mistake it for endless capacity. They see your resilience, and they confuse it with invincibility. They see your faith, and they assume you never feel the weight of your own humanity.
But the truth is, no matter how strong we appear and no matter how deeply rooted we are in God, we still live in human bodies that grow tired, minds that need quiet, and hearts that sometimes need understanding. We are not built to carry everything on our own. We are not designed to function without boundaries. We are not expected to operate without rest or without moments where we simply need space to breathe. There are limitations to us, even when we don’t always show them.
Yet the beauty in this realization is understanding that while we are limited, God is not. Our strength runs out, but His never does. Our patience wears thin, but His remains steady. Our energy can be drained, but His power is infinite. Our hearts can feel heavy, but His grace lifts us again and again. And the more we embrace the truth of our humanity, the more we learn to lean on the One whose strength has no end.
So this is a gentle reminder, to yourself and to anyone who has ever felt overlooked or misunderstood, that it is perfectly acceptable to acknowledge your limits. It is healthy to step back when your spirit needs rest. It is wise to recognize that you are not God, and you were never meant to be. You are human, and there is nothing weak about admitting that. What matters is that even in your humanity, God meets you with unlimited strength, unlimited grace, and unlimited love.
