 The Gift of Life

This morning, as I opened my eyes, I was overwhelmed by a deep sense of gratitude. Not because every situation in my life is perfect, but because God, in His infinite mercy, chose to wake me and my family up again today.

That alone is enough to give Him praise.

We often underestimate the miracle of waking up. The rising sun, the breath in our lungs, and the beating of our hearts are evidence of God's hand still at work in our lives. Life is not promised, it is a gift, and today I choose to honor the Giver.

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

How often do we let the worries of this world cause us to forget the miracle of simply being alive? The enemy would love for us to focus only on what’s wrong, but every new day is a reminder that God is not finished with us yet.

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
— Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

Today, I don’t want to rush into my to-do list. I want to pause.
To breathe.
To reflect.
To thank God, not just for the major blessings, but for the quiet gift of waking up in my right mind, with my loved ones safe, and His Spirit still guiding me.

“Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.”

So as you read this, I encourage you to stop and thank God right where you are. Thank Him for your life, your family, your calling, and even your trials. Why? Because if you're still here, then your purpose is still alive.

Today is not just another Monday, Tuesday, or weekend, it’s a divine opportunity.
The gift of life is sacred. Let's treat it as such.

Stepping Into a New Season

As one month closes and another begins, I find myself reminded that endings are never wasted. The turning of a calendar is more than a date, it’s an invitation to pause, reflect, and prepare for what’s next. We often underestimate the power of transitions. A simple page flip in time can carry with it both the weight of what we’ve left behind and the promise of what we’re about to embrace. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” That truth steadies me. Seasons change, and so do we. True Friendship Is Hard to Find

The older I get, the more I see how rare real friendship actually is. Not the type where people check in here and there, or show up when it’s convenient, or only stay close as long as they feel comfortable. I mean the kind of friendship that feels steady… the kind that feels safe… the kind where you don’t have to wonder if someone is secretly competing with you or comparing their life to yours. We live in a time where so many connections are surface-level. People will smile with you but feel something different underneath. People will say they’re happy for you, but you can sense when someone doesn’t truly mean it. You can feel it when someone is only close enough to observe your life, but not invested enough to support it.
