When You Outgrow Certain Rooms: Trusting God’s Purpose

Have you ever felt like you do not belong? Have you ever walked into certain rooms and sensed that you were different, almost as if you were not meant to remain there? My name is Dr. Christina Asare. I am a minister of the gospel, a devoted wife, and a technical leader. Over the years, there have been many moments when I have felt as if I have outgrown certain rooms. As a committed Christian, I often see situations through a different lens. My faith shapes how I think, how I lead, and how I understand purpose.

There are seasons when growth causes you to feel isolated. Sometimes your preparation, your convictions, or your calling sets you apart from the environments around you. That experience can be uncomfortable and may even make you question whether you truly belong. Yet I have learned that outgrowing certain rooms is not always a loss. Often it is a sign of transition.

Many people receive prophetic words in their lives, and I have experienced moments where God has confirmed my calling and direction. Those confirmations remind me that purpose is not always visible in the present moment. God often prepares us long before we fully understand where He is leading.

If you have ever felt like you have outgrown certain rooms, you are not alone. Growth changes your perspective, and faith reshapes your priorities. The rooms that once felt comfortable may begin to feel too small for the assignment God is preparing you for. What feels like separation may actually be preparation. God sees beyond what we can see, and He is able to position us exactly where our purpose will unfold.
